Eleven Days Late

The baby came exactly when they wanted and needed to, at 41 weeks and 4 days gestation. I have so much to process and share around the birth, but now is not the time. Now is the time for moving slowly, for savouring the magic of my newborn, and for focusing on healing and supporting my mindbody and spirit in the enormous transition and experience that is childbirth and parenting.

I don’t know when I will want, need and be moved to come back to writing regularly, but I intend to take at least a month from now before I consider returning to publishing. If you are a paid subscriber in a position to support my parental leave, thank you - I greatly appreciate it.
